AOPI

The Italian Pediatric Hospitals Association (AOPI) is a non-profit association that was established in 2005 on the basis of free, voluntary aggregation that aims to coordinate initiatives to promote the cultural, scientific and managerial development of highly specialized care facilities dedicated to the maternal and child area and the developmental age.

AOPI’S MISSION IS TO WORK TO:
  • support the initiatives of children’s hospitals aimed at improving the quality of the healthcare provided, training and research activities and raising the level of excellence of their organization, also by raising awareness and interacting with political bodies;
  • foster the integration of all “parties” involved, either directly or indirectly, in healthcare pathways, by entering into dialog with associations active in the pediatric field, hospitals and research and training institutions, in the field of diagnostic, therapeutic and care pathways and the methods of organization and management of health services;
  • encourage the dissemination of best practices nationally, while respecting regional autonomy, in order to guarantee excellence in services throughout Italy, continuity of care and ease of access to care for patients and their families;
  • promote research and training to increase the standard of care, the level of specialization, efficiency and effectiveness in the management of health and care activities in the maternal, child and pediatric area.
